Distracted

The water leaks through the concrete ceilings of the station.

The man in high heels makes his way through the turnstile.

Click clack, she walks with such style.

The old man sitting on the bench raises his head, then his eyebrows.

Then a smile.

The businessman stands tall looking into his iPhone being as busy as he can.

He’s not busy at all.

Random teenagers laugh amongst themselves.

Musicians play their instruments.

They sing their songs.

The random guy running late.

The girl who’s living in a different world, asking what life is all about,

She has a lot on her plate.

We can see all and maybe hear all.

Though our attention is always somewhere else.

Lately, it’s been on a 7-inch screen.
